Financial freedom is perhaps the most aspired for status for most people. Understandably so-having more than enough money will give an excellent quality of life everybody wants. What is important to understand is that financial riches in itself will not make you happy.

In the early'00s, eight of the most influential men in America came together. They were powerful men who managed a considerable part of the money of America. Most of them were heads of the largest and important corporations in the nation. One was a cabinet member of the President and the other was the president of the New York Stock Exchange.

If anybody ever wanted to know the science of getting rich, this is the room you would want to be in. Fast-forward to twenty-five years later and let's take a look at what became of these important men.

The president of the New York Stock Exchange and the cabinet member went to prison. Two went bankrupt, one went insane and three of them committed suicide. Unfortunately, this is a true story. If this is where money will bring you, I don't think most of us will stop in our pursuit of financial freedom.

So what happened? You have eight powerful men who lost everything. They were a success but they did not learn how to truly live a rich life. Understand that the science of getting rich is not about the steps to amass riches; it is having wealth without leaving out an exceptional quality of life that is all ours by right.

This doesn't mean that the rich are miserable people. Napoleon Hill, one of the most important writers of the past century interviewed America's richest people at that time and they had the secret shared by the truly wealthy.

While Napoleon Hill never divulged the secret because he maintained that doing so will abort the readers' essential drive to find on their own-the principles he established were important enough to influence some of the most successful people in our generation.

An accurate understanding of money is integral to have success in life.
