Skillful Ways To Easily Pay Less For Van Insurance |

There are a variety of policies available, depending on the use to which your van will be put. There are policies designed for private use. Then there are ones for business use. There are even special policies for fleet owners. The cheapest type of policy available is called third party, fire and theft insurance. This kind of policy does not cover damage to your own vehicle if you are involved in an accident, only if your vehicle is stolen or destroyed in a fire. The only situation where this is recommendable is when you drive a very old vehicle which you feel is not worth the extra cost of insurance. The majority of policies will cover the replacement of keys, windscreens, van fixtures, tools, audio equipment and locks. If you drive a van without audio equipment therefore, you could probably save some money by finding a policy that specifically excludes this type of equipment. The same goes for breakdown insurance and legal insurance - if you feel you don't need it, you should pay less. Another way in which to qualify for a lower premium is if you have an existing no claims bonus. Don't hesitate to inform the insurance company if you for example has a no-claim bonus on your private car, to name just one example. In all likelihood this will earn you a no-claim bonus on your van as well. Many people don't keep in mind that their van insurance premiums are determined to a large extent the day when they buy the vehicle. The higher the price of the vehicle and the bigger the size of its engine, the higher the insurance premiums will be. It doesn't make a lot of sense therefore to buy a more expensive vehicle or one with a bigger engine than what you really need. |
